My Review
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5)
Winter Wrangler has the setup for a cozy, protective cowboy romance, but it doesn’t quite deliver the passion or excitement expected.
Joy is a small-town baker who loves her simple life, but when she’s offered a job as a private chef, she jumps at the chance for something new. What she doesn’t expect is that her new employer is Devin, a wealthy and rugged rancher who has been watching over her from afar. With a snowstorm keeping them isolated in his luxurious home, Devin sees this as the perfect opportunity to show Joy that she belongs with him. As they spend time together, their connection grows, leading to a romance filled with warmth, devotion, and the promise of forever.
While the premise is promising, the romance lacks the spark and intensity that could have made it more engaging. The relationship develops quickly but without much tension or passion. For those looking for a love story filled with warmth and comfort, this novella might work, but if you’re expecting more steam and excitement, this one may not hit the mark.
Winter Wrangler is a short and easy read, but it doesn’t bring enough romance or chemistry to make it truly memorable. Fans of Alexa Riley’s usual heat and intensity may find this one underwhelming.
